8th Grade Volunteer Trip- Housing Works

8th graders in the Healthy Comminities service learning group visited two retail locations of Housing Works to lend a hand. They reorganized the racks of clothing, put out new inventory, cleaned and organized the books and housewares. The mission of Housing Works is to end the dual crises of AIDS and homelessness through advocacy, care and entrepreneurship. The students learned about one organization's solution to a public health crisis. They will use the information they learned to execute solutions to the public health cause they selected.
