8th Grade Healthy Communities Expert Interviews

As a part of our eighth grade healthy communities service learning group, our students chose a public health issue to study in depth. They are in process of researching the contributing factors and effects of the problem. Next, they will come up with and implement solutions. As a part of their research, each group interviewed an expert in their topic. Students were able to interview many experts, including: the NYC Department of Health, the CDC, several people with Masters in Public Health, Planned Parenthood, Engender Health and many more. The students learned a lot about their topics from these experts and will use the information gained to come up with solutions.
